Comments: Panaramic photo showing Munising's first permanent post office established on January 4, 1896. The building on the right built in 1895, housed the U.S. Post Office (far left) front of building, First National Bank of Alger County, Printing Office and other tenants. This building still stands today and is City Hall and Munising City Police Department. The building on the far right is the old Munising Railroad Depot and was demolished in the early 1970s.

Comments: Decorated for the holidays. Munising Post Office is in Alger County, Michigan. This post office building was dedicated in 1937. The Munising, MI #3 permanent Post Office was established on January 4, 1896 with Arthur S. Nester as its first postmaster and is still in operation.
